I realize this is a short post, but I'm not sure what you mean by "exploratory mission". How will you know when the work is done and what will be produced? Perhaps a report? What should it include? Also, I think we'll need to include some way to preclude all the issues that the GTK folks already found in the their OSX backend for GTK3 that encouraged them to rewrite a more performant one for GTK4. We wouldn't want to redo their work. Ted
