Hi guys,
SCALE 13x is coming up on Feb 19th, and Inkscape has a booth again. I was wondering if we might want to get some materials together for that and/or other shows.
A few years back we had a vertical banner for LGM that we used, but it is not holding up any more (I think Andy got it in a print shop in China for under $1) and was not Inkscape specific. If we want to get a new one they seem to be in the $150-$280 range. Smaller banners or signs could come in for less.
We could also do something for giveaway/schwag, such as small stickers or cards from moo.com. Those are $20 for 90 stickers and $20 for 100 mini cards.

Minicards could have room for our logo and a QR code to the website.
Cute. Wonder how the cost compares with regular business cards?
Stickers are probably more likely to get taken home than printed material.
Do either of these sound like a good idea? We're getting a bit shorter on time so I can understand if we might want to hold off on the banner.
I'd be interested in if something could be tied in with the hackfest donation. Wouldn't take too many donations for it to pay for itself.

Those minicards might be perfect for handing out to people interested in donating to the hackfest, to give them a URL to our page and a 1-2 sentence pitch about it. It'd only take a maximum of maybe 4 cards resulting in donations for this to pay for itself.
Another random idea... At a Ubuntu conference I attended, the local LUG took a group photo, printed it up as a puzzle, and left it in the commons area for people to work on during the conference.
Imagine doing similarly at a conference, except with the image being the most recent Inkscape About screen. The puzzles run about $30 + shipping:

A further idea is to have a smaller sized puzzle (5x7 or 8x10) there at the booth itself, for passers-by to stop and work on while they chat with you. These run for about $9 and up.

Sounds fun! Great idea.
