With 5 c's and 1 b, the resolution is to donate $480 to the OSUOSL.
Also, curious what people think about that voting format? I liked being more expressive with it, but I'm curious what others think.
Background
For our webserver and other online services we rely on OSU's Open Source Lab to run the physical servers. They offer this for free to Open Source projects, but in the past we've made donations when we could to help support their project.
For example:
In the past, we've donated $200. We've grown. Inflation has happened. That is probably not the amount we'd want to give today.
Martin reported that the webserver alone is a decent sized machine:
And if you look at the Linode calculator I think if we just used Linode that would cost ~$20-$30/mo.
I've structured the voting similar to how it was done for the Mastodon donation vote so that hopefully provides flexibility for folks without requiring multiple votes.
Pono has said that the SFC can handle the contribution to OSU OSL along with other donations from SFC projects, so he will execute the donation for us.
