I like the timeanddate link better because everything is encoded in the URL. No databases or lookups or data that can change without you knowing it. If it needs to change you have to send an email that says "Oops".
It does provide you icals though, which is quite useful for those like me who forget things sent in email alone 😉
Long term, I'm feeling like there is too much on the website and it needs to be split up somehow. Starting to feel like its own project as it's moved well beyond just configuring something else. Not sure I'm up for trying to tackle that beast, but a concern none the less.
I agree in the broad sense, that it's ridiculous that there aren't good project wide solutions to many of the infrastructure challenges we have.
Even getting this mailing list set up was expensive and silly.
How we offload these, that's worth exploring.
