In that vote Tav suggested a more appropriate amount would be a $10,000 total allocation, a $5000 increase over the current budget. The Software Conservancy's ledger system indicates that currently (as of midnight Feb 19th), the total donations collected and earmarked for the hackfest is: $1447.00, less $144.7 to SFC and $61.50 for banking fees, or $1240.80 total. The Hackfest planning committee estimated a total cost of $9-18k for the hackfest sponsorships.
