Vote: budget for Windows CI evaluation
Dear PLC,
the developer team wants to evaluate cloud provider Clouding.io http://clouding.io/ as a more powerful and flexible compute backend for Windows CI. This evaluation is scoped to a fixed budget of 150 € that we assume to last for 3 months of Windows CI (pay-as-you-go compute minutes, depends on development activity). That will give us enough time/jobs to make an assessment afterwards.
I ask you to vote for either:
a) Approve budget request for 150 € b) Disapprove this budget request c) Other, please explain
Background:
We are looking for a scalable solution to provide ephemeral Windows runners that is more powerful than GitLab's fleet and that does not rely on community members sponsoring hardware and utility bills.
The evaluation will be managed and the budget spent by me (there will be a regular invoice to be reimbursed).
Thank you,
René
I vote A.
