Vote: Bugfix Accelerator 2025

Dear Project Leadershiop,
After the review period is now complete, I submit for vote the final text attached with the following details short description for the vote:
I request a budget of $25,500 for 2 x 140 hours of engineering work targeted at bug fixing in the 1.4.x branch and 60 hours of administration targeting the issues, priorities, testing and merge requests of the 1.4.x branch.
The recruitment team will be made up of Jonathan Neuhauser and one other Inkscape Member to be recruited.
They will send out a call for interested and available workers to apply for one of the three positions. Reports and meetings as described in the attached document.
Your vote is required; because the recruitment team will be making the decision on who to employ, you may still vote if you plan to apply yourself:
a. Approve the budget for BFA 2025 b. Disapprove c. Something else
Thanks everyone.
Best Regards, Martin Owens

Dear all,
I vote a). Adding the following provisions:
1) The developer working group selects the other member of the hiring team (yay to having specified decision making in the WGs)
2) The developers may also spend their time to backport fixes to the 1.4.x branch, and are in fact encouraged to do so.
(I assume that "backport requests and merge reviews" is a typo and should me merge requests.)
Sorry for not picking those points up in the review period! I believe that they do not fundamentally change the request. @others please indicate if you're ok with these points as well.
Best regards
Jonathan

I think that if it was purely for 1.4-only-related issues the allocated amount would be too high (as, hopefully, the 1.4/gtk3 version will become obsolete after some time) but since it will likely also benefit the main branch (afaik few issues are purely gtk3-related) it should be ok.
I vote (a).

Dear All,
Jonathan recommends I wrap up this vote:
I vote a)
The final results are:
Marc - a Jonthan - a Martin - a Tav - [abstain] Ted - [absent] Josh - [absent] Rene - [absent]
The vote passes. Though that low vote turnout is a worry. Please let me know if there was any issues with the organisation of this vote.

Hey, I apologize, you can count me as an "A" vote. If my late vote counts, that affirms the intent of a majority.
Cheers, Josh
