Outreachy was mentioned in the board meeting again today, and I took an action to review what had been decided by the board for Outreachy funding previously.

So it looks like last time, we were anticipating some external sponsorship, so voted to establish a way for sponsors to tag their donations to the program. I checked our donation records and there were no contributions tagged for outreachy, so I think no funds were raised. However, the resolution was not year-specific, so if we were to solicit sponsorship for outreachy I believe the financial bucket is there for it.

There is also the option to sponsor the students ourselves, at $6500 apiece. However, a more important initial requirement is to identify a coordinator to run our end of the project. The duties are spelled out by the program:

The coordinator doesn't need to be a board member, but should be someone active in and familiar with the Inkscape project. Can you guys identify someone willing to take this role?
