Cool, well baby steps, so first objective is just getting access and then setting up some basic merch with the Inkscape logo.

Possibly, though I think we should rather not make a contest for something as permanent as this. Don't mind collecting renditions, but having a contest implies a winner will be chosen from the things submitted, and feelings might get hurt if no one is chosen. So I'd say let's wait until we have (internally), something we can live with, and then it can go in with the other submissions, so at least we have a fall back just in case.

Maybe we can do a contest with 8 2turn winers to get more options for final result.

That sounds good to me. I'll provide the basis, and work on what we'd like for entries. I mean if we really want inkdrops as mascots, then we should say that, otherwise we'll get robots, pens and all manner of other stuff. :)
To me, it's important that the devs get the lions share of the say in what we go with... which is another reason to do this internally first as well. Hammer out what we want, and if we can get better art from the community at large, then that's great.

With the dates for LGM starting to get firm I think we should also start brainstorming what we want our LGM involvement to entail.

Thanks Bryce,
Can you add release status/readiness? I think we're sitting on a very nearly complete release and it might just need the umbilical cord cut.

Martin,
Alright, if we have time. The main things right now are review of the state of the mesh gradient feature (above), checking the status on the dpi scaling bug, and if there's any remnant followup to track for the about screen. Hopefully there haven't been any other new release blocker bugs identified.
I figure there should probably be one last RC before we do the final release. I can cut that RC whenever.
We also need to assemble a press team to write the press release and notify news sites and so on.

Mesh gradients are pretty much ready to go. There is still some work being done on improving the interface but if nothing else is added it would not be a real problem. (Jabier has a nice improvement to help keep track of what handle corresponds to which corner node but it needs a bit of polishing.)
As for the dpi scaling issue, my code for handling legacy files is already in both trunk and 0.92. Jabier is almost ready with his alternative approach. He's got a couple of buglets to fix but it should be ready real soon. The plan is to offer the user both options (one adds a 'viewBox', the other scales the objects inside the file). Note that we'll need to ping the translators as soon as this is settled.
I figure there should probably be one last RC before we do the final release. I can cut that RC whenever.
Definitely. Let's shoot for the end of next week.
