Hi all, I see there is a lot of stuff going on at the moment, is that the reason for the delay in running the elections for new board members?
Hoping to see elections soon, Johan

Sort of. Post hackfest we had a bunch of stuff going on, but we were able to delegate it out reasonably well. Ted volunteered to coordinate the election.
But I believe what's holding things up is getting the voting software set up. Initially we were looking at a proprietary freemium service for doing the vote, but Conservancy is working on setting up an equivalent open source voting service for member projects to do, and it's just taking a little longer than expected (as is always the case with software). They did hold a mock vote last month to test out the software, and at least from the user side it looked pretty good to me. I'm crossing my fingers that we can kick off the vote later this month.
Perhaps Ted can update us with more accurate status soon.

I think you covered most of it. We did a test election with the Conservancy's setup, and are waiting on the results to confirm them and do something wider. (making sure the votes can go in AND out ☺ ) I hope that'll be soon and then we can run the wider election.

Nice that the Conservancy is providing a voting system and that you can use it!
cheers, Johan
