Inkscape Board Meeting this Friday
Hello Inkscapers,
We've got the monthly board meeting this Friday at Noon Texas Time. Check on what time that is for you here: https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/fixedtime.html?iso=20210507T10&p1...
Agenda: https://wiki.inkscape.org/wiki/index.php?title=Board_Meetings#Agenda
Everyone is invited! Ted
Ted,
The website will tell people when the meeting is in their local timezone and UTC:
https://inkscape.org/cals/event/2/
Is it possible we could post this instead of the timeanddata.com link?
Best Regards, Martin Owens

Wasn't there an issue with the time from that page from a recent meeting where people ended up an hour late or am I mistaken? I'm not against the use of it, just making sure I'm not misremembering.
Cheers, Josh

That happens each summer time, apparently the world can't just use one summer time, it has to have loads. 😉

I like the timeanddate link better because everything is encoded in the URL. No databases or lookups or data that can change without you knowing it. If it needs to change you have to send an email that says "Oops". Long term, I'm feeling like there is too much on the website and it needs to be split up somehow. Starting to feel like its own project as it's moved well beyond just configuring something else. Not sure I'm up for trying to tackle that beast, but a concern none the less. Ted

It does provide you icals though, which is quite useful for those like me who forget things sent in email alone 😉

I agree in the broad sense, that it's ridiculous that there aren't good project wide solutions to many of the infrastructure challenges we have.
Even getting this mailing list set up was expensive and silly.
How we offload these, that's worth exploring.
