Proposal to for donation to SFC
Hi,
As you all know, SFC is launching a big fundraiser on Monday. As we heavily rely on SFC I think we should consider making a donation to show our support. They are currently 81 annual supporters short of their minimum goal. Perhaps we could donate the equivalent of 5 annual subscription (5 x $120 = $600)? Donations before the end of January will be matched.

I approve of this.
I can also donate with Google matching, since SFC is an approved charity. The donation should come through on Jan 29. Will they get 4x the money then? Or does their matching apply only to donations via their website?

I wondered the same with my donation, but assumed the matching only applies for donations through their website. Still worth it, I figure.

Talking to Karen, sounds like the maximum if everything's arranged properly would be 3x.
She notes that the company matching is a bit awkward in that it involves some additional steps on their end to run through the application and whatnot. So I gather the administration is a bit higher than donations through the SFC site. Another difference is they're shooting for gaining recurring funding (I guess to give them better long term budget forecasting?) and the company matching doesn't provide that.
