If we really want to see inkscape on ubuntu soon, then we must think about a way of having it at least compatible with the desktop key bindings.

Or do we expect every single ubuntu user to setup their WM configs in order to use some of the inkscape features?!

Change this now before these shortcuts become "legacy"

Which can be solved by reconfiguring your window manager. I did it a
long while ago (using Win key for windows manipulation now) and never
came back :)
