While being open is important, it is also important to provide space for people to be able to do the jobs that they've volunteered for. Short circuiting their roles or providing undo pressure devalues their work and discourages contribution. There are no "secrets" here, just a process to ensure that everyone has time to be happy with their work.

Secrets for the advantage of press announcements is how Canonical got

itself in a lot of trouble with it's community back in the day. We

should not emulate that.

Stating your opinions as fact is not becoming.
