I think this could be very useful for creating vector maps from data like http://www.demis.nl/mapserver/mapper.asp (this data is free enough (http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bild:Demis_Best%C3%A4tigung.gif) to be used in e.g. Wikipedia).

Would you mind trying this one some map?
