How about "Evangelism"?

I'd avoid that particular word. It has negative connotations where I
come from. I also quite dislike the idea that FLOSS is some sort of
religion (which is a common meme), and the word "evangelism" has
definite religious connections. People should understand this is not
some cult, but rather a community project.

PS- will try and respond with some suggested text soon, but there's so
much catching up to do in this conversation, I'm still trying to take
it all in. :)
