I tested http://inkscape.modevia.com/ap/inkscape200611230042.package on Mandrake 10:

~/.local/bin/.proxy.inkscape: error while loading shared libraries: libssl.so.0.9.8: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Running ldd on the executable, I see two missing libs:

libssl.so.0.9.8 => not found libcrypto.so.0.9.8 => not found

At least it's different than before, so that's a big progress! Hope you can fix it easily now.
