Would it be difficult to add this back? It might more useful for technical drawings than for artistic use of Inkscape I guess, nevertheless a very appreciated feature in Inkscape 0.47 to be able to fine-tune curves (e.g. to create symmetric or equally curved parts within a path) because we can't edit the coordinates of the handles numerically or relative to other nodes/handles.
