Today a question came up regarding how non-coders can help improve Inkscape. This info has been added to the Inkscape FAQ, under 'Are there non-coding ways to help?':
http://www.inkscape.org/faq.php
Let me know if you have other ideas we could list there.
Create Artwork using Inkscape and contribute to OpenClipart.org?
(There seems to be a bold tag that wasn't closed somewhere near the end of the page).
The section about "design icons" could maybe be expanded to include design of SVG themes and point to the Gnome SVG themes http://librsvg.sourceforge.net/theme.php
I might be tempted to add something about "be nice, be polite" as the users and the community are what represent Inkscape and it is important not to get too carried away when evangelising. Inkscape works with other tools, so there is no need for the hard sell and overly dramatic talk about switching or replacing or "killing" off other software.
Maybe I skim read over it but I didn't see anything about contributing translations, and if such a section were added ideally it would point to where users can download a current .po file and get started translating immediately. (I see now i18n (sic) mentioned in the preceeding point on how to help in general)
I'm struggling to reach for ideas, what you wrote was very comprehensive and seems to cover just about everything.
