Mike, I think you still have a few things to explain to me. I'll see if I can remember what they are and perhaps we can finish my tutoring. That "ABI" message comes to mind, as well as static linking.
I haven't started doing nightly builds yet, but I am doing As-often-as-I-build-ly builds. I'm posting them at http://inkscape.modevia.com/ap.
