I'd avoid that particular word. It has negative connotations where I come from. I also quite dislike the idea that FLOSS is some sort of religion (which is a common meme), and the word "evangelism" has definite religious connections. People should understand this is not some cult, but rather a community project.
I prefer "Lollardism" such a better religious word.
I agree with CR, Evangelical has some negative connotations and we should be able to say "Zeal" without saying "Zealot"
