Can you be more specific? Also, others don't report that. Which system?

IMO, the metadata should still be on one pane. It is strange to see two metadata tabs.

Having one would make the dialog overly high. There was a complaint about that to which I agree.

Also, the checkboxes/actual enabling for the grid and show guides takes really long to check and uncheck.

Again, I don't see this on Linux. Is this Windows? If so, I would need help from a Windows developer.
