As Tav already mentioned, LGM is not a big conference. Also, typically half of the attendees already know Inkscape et al.
IMHO, the most important thing is that several Inkscape contributors will be there. So maybe it would make sense to capitalize on that. Apart from hackathon there could be a usability session where you would study how pro designers work. There could be a bug hunt. Maybe someone could shoot a video interview with the team that you would post later. I'm sure there are even more creative ways to use this chance.
