The file seems to have a bitmap in it.
No, the coffee cup is not a bitmap. It is a vector drawing of a coffee cup. See partially exploded view in startup040402b above.
Inkscape does not give the error message with bitmaps or gifs. They import without any trouble.
The message does not come up on Inkscape startup.
It appears when I open an svg file, whether created in Inkscape or elsewhere. 040402c above is a simple one line text message prepared with freshly opened Inkscape. It was saved and then opened immediately. Up pops the message. The only thing which seems to change sometimes is the number after the Inkscape.exe.
NB. I can import svg files without getting the message.
hope this helps

I am still getting the "GdkPixbuf - Critical" line 59. message frequently when I open files.
Does it happen for files with bitmaps
only, or for any other files, or during Inkscape startup?
