Actually, while t-shirts are really cool and I'd want to offer them as a prize, I really like the idea of a coffee mug / beer stein as well, so I'm definitely going to offer that. It would last longer, too, if one is careful. There are some other cool things I can do (mousepads, coasters, posters, magnets, etc). Maybe anyone who participates could get something like a magnet or sticker. (BTW, this would not garner me any profit, in case anyone's suspicious - it's an opportunity to do something I've been wanting to for a while anyway.)
SVG does have a logo, though I don't much like it: http://www.root2art.co.uk/svg_logo_download/index.php
However, disregarding my personal opinions, maybe it would be decent to offer that as the main design element, since it's a contest about SVG rather than Inkscape. Though we could still offer an Inkscape something.

That's great! Inkscape T-Shirts will be cool! Does SVG has a logo? I'm not sure. Maybe Mozilla could offer some Firefox Tshirts, but they still didnt give me any feedback.
I also have thought about books. I think that "The Beautiful Code" (the same book I got from Google as a SoC gift) could be a good prize. I am not confortable with the idea of offering money prizes. I want to give things that will be present in the winners' lives, so that they will always remember "that SVG contest I won".
Any other book title you would suggest? Something SVG related, maybe?
So, at the moment we have Joshua's cafepress items, Patricks $50 and also some money (didnt decide exactly how much) that I will put in it.
I will ellaborate a set of rules now and email you again.

Hey, I'd be happy to help. I'll sponsor a couple of items I can make on my cafepress store (mug, t-shirt, etc), maybe with an Inkscape logo or SVG logo or something. What do you think? JF Felipe Sanches wrote: Nice! I plan to put a bit of money on it too. Maybe I invest on it a tiny portion of my SoC money (what comes with geek stuff should go back to geek stuff). And maybe I get some funds from mozilla community support, they still didn't contact me. I would like to ask here what prizes would you suggest. I need to figure out what would be cool to give as prizes.
