Sorry for responding late. But I think you should give the reddit Inkscape community a spin. It *like* a forum. But not quite a forum. It's reliable though.

If the Inkscape developer community starts showing some love, I'm sure it'll become a vibrant community. What it can't be used as though, is a Q & A site. For that I recommend StackExchange. By using existing platforms, we save ourselves a lot of time and we could reach out to the community better. What do you think?

Hi Everyone,
When I first started thinking about how to approach this task, I
thought we would first find the most compatible, fullest featured and most
flexible software for the new forum, and then use the software in the best
way according to the growth and development of the new forum's community.
But after a little discussion, I think it may benefit the current
forum members to be able to help "brainstorm" the best features that they
would want to see in the new forum.  So since most of these forum members
are not mailing list subscribers, I started that discussion here:
http://forum.inkscapecommunity.com/index.php?topic=355.0
So any developers or other non-forum members who want to be involved
on this level, please feel free to post there.  After everyone has aired out
their ideas, we'll organize and prioritize, and then move into the committee
work.
I hope that's going to work out ok for everyone.  It seems some
forum member feels particularly excluded and helpless in this process
(despite many invitations to participate),  So I hope this will be the most
inclusive way to start the process.  At least it's there "for the record".
Now I'm ready for a good night's sleep!

Thanks,
brynn

What NetFlow Analyzer can do for you? Monitors network bandwidth and traffic
patterns at an interface-level. Reveals which users, apps, and protocols are
consuming the most bandwidth. Provides multi-vendor support for NetFlow,
J-Flow, sFlow and other flows. Make informed decisions using capacity
planning reports. https://ad.doubleclick.net/ddm/clk/305295220;132659582;e
