Very nice job.
I absolutely agree. In order to make it perfect even on the microtypography level, the hyphen in at least the "Conclusion" section should not be a "minus" but U+2013 (EN DASH).
Same for quotation marks: use U+201C and U+201D.
good idea but isn't there a special character at the XML level like ‐ or suchlike for that? (not having looked at the sentence in question I'll bet it would be easier to rephrase, use bullet points or use a colon: than it would be to lookup the right codes).
On a similar note, things like "i.e." should probably be written
Abbreviations and Latin terms should be avoided entirely when writing documentation. Instead of i.e. one should simply write 'that is' or rephrase the sentence (and similarly instead of e.g. one should write for exmaple). Abbreviations are like bad compression and put an extra processing burden on the user when the work and effort to make things clearer should be done once by the author.
with a half space in between, but I'm not sure how well fonts support that, and gucharmap doesn't make it easy to check out.
Nitpickery yours,
We only nitpick because we are really glad that anyone would go to the trouble and effort of writing documentation. Think of it as our way of saying thanks.
