perhaps I should clarify, in the path node you can have a 'd' attribute either with or without a 'transform' attribute. - if the 'transform' attribute does not exist, then it does not need to be transferred as part of a paste - if the 'transform' attribute does exist, then it should be transferred as part of a paste
