Once we've got this bug-fixing release out the door, I'm planning on putting more work into user-visible changes again.
One of the ones that we've been slated for since the fork was a layers dialog.
I've been thinking -- would it make sense to combine the layers and XML dialogs (maybe have them be on different tabs)?
It seems to me that there's not much need to have them both displayed at once, so it might make sense to reduce the amount of screen real estate required by combining them.
Obviously this would require that the XML dialog could be made smaller, though -- perhaps make the right hand side collapsable?
What are your thoughts?
