Theoretically, if users have the NewRPMs/Dag libraries installed, Turnip's Inkscape RPM should in fact work without problems. (I can confirm this later in the day.)
I have confirmed that Turnip's RPM works fine with the NewRPMs/Dag libraries.
I had to install perl-GD, perl-SVG, and perl-SVG-GD from Dag RPMs, to satisfy dependencies in Turnip's Inkscape RPM. But after that, everything worked perfectly and just as I expected.
Turnip's RPM is just fine, so long as people satisfy its deps somehow (which is easily done thanks to Dag/NewRPMs).
Once Fedora Extras goes live, the libraries from there should work just fine with Turnip's Inkscape 0.40 RPM as well.
