Bryce, Ted and I were talking about how it would be nice in our new dialog to have a local bookmark installed/displayed for Inkscape share (or maybe Inkscape examples and templates in share) and also Open Clip Art Library. We could test to see if these locations exist on install, and then react accordingly, or test on startup of Inkscape.
Good idea, this will make the bookmark pane on the left actually useful from the start, and will also suggest to the user how it can be used for his own stuff.
