Now:
- The | key (Shift+) toggles guide visibility and snapping to guides (if you need to set them separately, use Document Options dialog)
- The # key (Shift+3) toggles grid visibility and snapping to grid (if you need to set them separately, use Document Options dialog)
- Both these settings are saved with the document
- When a new guide is being created by dragging from the ruler, guide visibility and snapping is switched on
- Default showguides (if not set) is on, for backward compatibility
- The Document Options dialog now always reflects the current state of these (and other) parameters, so you can press these keys (or edit your namedview in XML editor) and watch the checkbuttons toggle
