In hindsight it would have been an option to backport - no actual porting required - the Adobe Illustrator and Macromedia Freehand keybindings to 0.44.1 and would still be an option if you feel the need to have a 0.44.2 release.

Given how often this was referred to as Wireframe during development and again now I wish this was just called Wireframe. It would avoid the confusion and it is nothing like the kind of document structure ouline you would expect from an outliner program like OmniOutliner or Microsoft Powerpoint.

Now is as good at time to mention that Macromedia Freehand has both a Keyline mode and a seperate Fast mode to turn off additional features to help those with a need for speed. There will be cases where you can speed at the expense of correctness so I can see how it was the easier option for the Freehand developers to split things rather than trying to as hard as the Inkscape developers to maintain the right balance. I encourage you to take a look at it if you have a chance to play with Freehand (possibly by downloading an older trial/demo version like I did).
