I'm not quite sure you are following me.

The discussion you linked to is about some code that I (and a fellow student) wrote a year an a half ago as a proof of concept to demonstrate SVG scripting and learn what kinds of things it might be useful for.

Now I have written (along with my advisor) a vastly superior program that was built from the ground up as a IDE for media scripting
in various programs and languages.

My question is  whether there is now a better way to interactively access Inkscape functionality than there was 1 1/2 years ago,
or whether I just going to have to hack it in again.
