And after playing with the current tool, even though I cannot yet drag the VPs, I can only confirm that the tool is very valuable. Apart from any practical considerations, what I look for in any tool is, above all, magic. A tool's magic is its ability to wow me, to surprise me, to do something cool that would be very difficult or impossible to do otherwise, to do something fundamentally different from all the other tools. Examples of pure magic are blur, clone tiler, calligraphic pen... and the 3D tool, I can assure you, provides a healthy dose of its own unique magic.
