My res is 1680x1050 (16:10), prefer that bar up top personally.
I'm also at 1680x1050, and prefer the command bar up the top (or hidden - I absolutely never use it; can I hide it?). As for the snap bar, I've got used to that on the right now and prefer it there, I think, as it balances the tool bar on the left.
1440 x 900 (MBP), defaults to 'View > Wide'
Quite interesting. So we have a general response from
several people, all who happen to report a 1.6 ratio and don't feel they're quite "wide" yet.
For me, it's not a matter of "feeling wide"... it's a matter of having enough vertical space to not need/desire that bar on the side. However, having the snapping bar on the side feels better for me personally.
The save button has moved from topleft all the way to the topright. I think people would like the 'wide' setting a lot more if the save button and the rest of the bar would stay on the lefthandside.
Another issue is the 'undiscoverability' of the ability to move the bars.
