I've been in touch with the lib2geom developers. I'm going to talk with them some more and see if I can help with there efforts. It makes sense to build my CAD tools for inkscape on the geometry library that they are developing, as Botty suggested.
I just wanted to let you guys know I hadn't forgotten about this, and I'm still interested in adding some new tools to Inkscape.
