What does it mean? Do you mean an "Unfixed" bug count which wouldn't include "Fix Committed" bugs? If this is the case, there's an easy solution: don't assign bugs to anyone until they are actively working on them (i.e. the status is not "In Progress"). The Unassigned count would then give an information about how many bugs are there left to fix.
