To be fair, official android (at least on phones) is just now getting SVG support with ice cream sandwich.

Will you personally volunteer to redo all of our new website in SVG
once again? Because at the current pace of development of the new
website it's just not going to happen.

I have even more questions like proper i18n, how content should be
added etc., but in the end it all boils down to people willing to work
on that.
