Aha! I was getting worried about this. I've done "save as" on a bunch of docs and saved tons of copies because of that warning making me paranoid. It literally scared me into 10 copies of one doc so I knew I had explicitly chosen Inkscape SVG and there would be a chance of it being editable again.
