[Inkscape-devel] very slow loading of docs (win32)

I am notice that first time loading of documents containing text takes as much as 2+ minutes. This is the case even for very small docs (with one word) in them.

I notice that the application is loading all the fonts and I have some huge unicode font files. Even after removing some of the bigger ones, it is still slow.

Is this to do with pango/freetype? If so, any plans to move to newer version of pango/freetype?
