I live in Spain but am English. I use a computer with the Spanish version of Windows and I'm trying to evaluate Inkscape with a view to finally migrating to Linux. I have been using Freehand up till now. However, my Spanish is not that good that I can learn a new program in a language I don't fully understand. How can I download an English version? Up till now I get a Spanish version each and every time.
You don't need to download English version. Just type in console:
export LC_ALL=C;inkscape
That will make Inkscape run in C locale which is English.
Having a switcher between translations in Зreferences dialog would be nice, however.
