Good point. % is more appropriate than px (it is relative to the size of the blurred object). Personally I don't like the current system, as I'm used to thinking in absolute units, but the idea is that objects blurred with the same "percentage" of blur more or less look equally blurry. I think it is currently defined as a percentage of the sum of the width and height of the bounding box or something like that. If you can think of a better way to do this you'd make my day :)
