The Inkscape version with that glibc bug was compiled from sources, and ran on the same system. It was the build inkscape-20050723-0000. The static RPM you told me to install does not work either:
/usr/bin/inkscape: symbol lookup error: /usr/bin/inkscape: undefined symbol: g_option_error_quark
