following up on my emails to the board mailing list, don't the requirements mean that there are only two persons who qualify? There hasn't been too much activity on Python repos since the 1.3 release.
'We invite everyone to participate, but - oh - actually, almost noone is allowed to anyway'. This seems wrong / alibi.
Why not just skip the application step, if you already know whom you want?
