Hi,
I committed your three patches, thanks a lot. I meant to do something along these lines myself, but it's nice to be helped :)
Heh, my mother (doing webdesign stuff with sodipodi/inkscape) always moaned about having to type such a long path by hand when exporting, so i had to do something about it :)
Are you interested in doing more Inkscape development? If so I could put you on the developers list so you could access CVS directly.
I just started doing Gtk+/Glib coding, but I indeed plan to do more in respect to UI and usability stuff. It'll certainly help to have cvs access.

Hi!
I've used Sodipodi before and decided to give Inkscape a try just today (0.36).
It's great what you achieved in such short time! The 2 toolbars, better shortcuts for tools (not F keys) and especialy the transient dialogs are big improvements.
Congratulations!
I also like the cleaned out context menu, allthough I used it exclusively for menu options in Sodipodi.
But it's strange to have submenus with only 1 entry like "Rect" > "Rect Properties". "Shape" > "Fill Settings" gives you a dialog that is not transient! It would be better to have access to "Fill and Stroke" here (transient!).
It would be great to have a special context menu for nodes (right-click over a node), containing "Delete", "Break apart" and a way to change the number of bezier handles (0,1,2). And maybe an option for aligning control points on a line / make them symetrical.
