Just wanted to point out that other projects have a clear seperation of the developer pages. Not only does it give ordinary users a clearer message (what is inkscape? where to get it? and other news.) it also allows developers to skip straight to the raw information they really want. As Inkscape grows larger developer.inkscape.org [1] might be in order but in the meantime another page at inkscape.org/developer/ [2] might be a good for you to clarify things and draw more attention to important developer issues. I'm sure you and Bulia will an appropriate way to achieve both your goals.
Sincerely
Alan Horkan
[1] The GNU Image Manipulation program developers do this [2] The AbiSource Developers do this (but I am a little surprised they dont also make use of [1]).
