Thanks for the info... I guess at some stage, I can look into doing things via the same approach I took with gdl. However, it should be a bit easier (I hope) because there's not a very big upstream diff since we forked.

Hey Alex,
Here's all the light I can shed, it's from an offlist message by Peter Moulder regarding the need to revert what was committed (aside from the documentation portion of the discussion). It's about as much info as we have as I haven't seen comments from anyone else involved in the initial fork.
"What was the intent of this commit? It looks to me as if very little of the patch is actually of benefit to libcroco: most of it looks like reverting libcroco to the point it was in when Inkscape forked it, and most of the rest is changes to make it compile with a C++ compiler (which was convenient for Inkscape's purposes, but undesirable in libcroco because the changes make the code less readable).
I see that this commit doesn't include the cr-sel-eng.c vtable stuff, so this commit (or reverting it) makes no difference to whether Inkscape needs its own separate version of libcroco."
So, perhaps the second paragraph is the key of what needs to be looked at.
Cheers, Josh

Hi All,
Just wondering what the status of our libcroco fork is at the moment. Upstream development has restarted, and version 0.64 was released yesterday. It appears that Abhishek Sharma pushed some of our changes upstream, but then reverted them. Can anyone shed some light on this?
Thanks,
Alex
