This is a really useful comparison. I have now switched the trunk PPA over to use CMake too, so this should help us get some early warnings from users. Please could everyone keep their eyes open for any regressions reported from PPA users?

I've also set the executable flags on the extension scripts (as we did with the Autotools build).
