Admittedly this is weird but I'm not sure it is weird enough to remove it entirely. I've seen GPL and LGPL programs and the included artwork/data files is intended to also be under the same license. In practice trying to apply the LGPL to items other than source code is messy but the lines get a bit blurry when it comes to scripting languages or data files.
I guess the point is if users expect to be able to do this should they be prevented from doing it?
